As Chief Risk Officer, Ernest is responsible for the effective governance of risk programs for the company and has oversight of the risk management and vendor management teams.
With over 30 years of risk management experience in the financial services industry, Ernest serves as part of the TowneBank corporate management group to provide strategic risk guidance to ensure the company remains proactive in mitigating risk.
Ernest earned his BA in Business Management and Economics from North Carolina State University and his MBA from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the Risk Management Association’s Lending and Credit Risk Professionals group and the Consumer Bankers Association Risk Committee.
