Celebrating our American Story

Serving Others and Enriching Lives

2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders Recap

We celebrated TowneBank and America's 250th at our annual meeting of shareholders on Wednesday, May 20, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Bob Aston and Billy Foster spoke about the company's performance, the impact we are making in our communities, and future plans as we expand in North and South Carolina. It was a pleasure to gather with our family of shareholders to thank them for their support of our commitment to serving others and enriching the lives of our members and communities.

Reflecting on the Past. Embracing the Future.

On April 8, 1999, TowneBank opened three offices with start-up capital from more than 4,000 shareholders. Recognized by Forbes and American Banker as a top bank in the nation, we now operate 70 banking offices throughout Hampton Roads and Central Virginia, as well as Northeastern and Central North Carolina. As we continue to grow, our commitment to exquisite member service will never change.

    How We Give Back

Your Bank. Your Neighbor.

TowneBank is honored to have earned seven consecutive Outstanding ratings from the FDIC for our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities, dating back to our 2007 performance. This rating reflects our commitment to improving the quality of life in low-to-moderate income communities through volunteerism, contributions, investments, and loans, in response to the credit needs of our service areas. Everyone in our Towne family takes tremendous pride in the service we provide to our communities. At Towne, we view the Community Reinvestment Act as an essential part of who we are and not merely a regulatory requirement.
