David Weaver
Deputy Chief Credit Officer
As Deputy Chief Credit Officer, David provides leadership and oversight of the bank’s credit policy and procedures, serving on both the Credit Policy Committee and the Management Loan Committee. In his role, David also oversees credit teams across North and South Carolina, partnering with executive leadership, audit, and enterprise risk management to develop strategies, monitor performance, and effectively manage organizational risk.
David brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to TowneBank. Prior to joining the bank, he held senior leadership roles at Truist and most recently served as senior regional credit administration manager for Huntington National Bank’s Southeast division.
He is a graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA. David's community roles include active involvement with the ECU Alumni Association and the East Carolina Educational Foundation, and past board service at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital and Family Services of Forsyth County.
