Remote Deposit Capture Service Notification

CHROME BROWSER UPDATE IMPACTING SCANNING

What You Need To Know

On October 28, Google released Chrome version 142, which introduced a new security feature called Local Network Access (LNA). This update may temporarily affect your ability to scan checks using the Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) service.

FASTEST FIX: If you are experiencing issues with Remote Deposit Capture scanning in Chrome, the most reliable solution at this time is to switch to Microsoft Edge.

Steps for Troubleshooting in Chrome

When you attempt to scan, Chrome will display a message asking whether to Allow or Block access to your local network.

1.   Click Allow to enable your scanner to work properly.
2.  Do not click Block or close the message, as this will prevent scanning from functioning.

Steps to Re-enable Scanning in Chrome (if applicable)

Option 1: Access Was Blocked or No Prompt Appears

  1. Click the View Site Information icon in the upper-left section of the URL bar.
  2. Toggle Local Network Access to Enabled.
  3. Reload the page and log back into the application if needed.

Option 2: Using Your Chrome Settings

  1. Open Chrome Settings by clicking the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Navigate to Privacy and security > Site Settings.
  3. Click on Additional permissions.
  4. Select Local network access to manage the default behavior for all websites.

Option 3: Using Chrome Flags

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://flags and press Enter.
  2. Find Local Network Access Checks and change the setting to Enabled (Blocking).
  3. Relaunch Chrome.
  4. Try scanning again and select Allow when prompted.
