Business Online Banking Transition

Old Point members will log into online banking through TowneBank.com beginning February 9, 2026. This guide includes helpful information for you to ensure a smooth transition. 

Business Online Banking

On February 9, all Old Point systems transitioned to TowneBank. You will now access a refreshed version of the same online banking system you previously used at Old Point with the same username and password. 

After logging in for the first time, you may be prompted to re-enroll in certain services so they can be connected to your TowneBank account. Additional details are provided below. Later in 2026, this online banking platform will undergo an additional upgrade to deliver an enhanced TowneBank digital banking experience.

Logging In

Select the Login button from the top, right-hand corner on TowneBank.com and select Old Point Online from the drop-down list of options. 

You can use the same username and password you used at Old Point. After you log in, you will be prompted to accept the updated online banking agreement. 

Bill Pay

  • We expect all previously scheduled payments to continue as usual, without interruption. You may continue to add new payees or payments through Bill Pay, both pre- and post-conversion. 

Electronic Statements

  • If you prefer e-statements, it will be necessary to accept the TowneBank electronic disclosure agreement and elect to have your statements delivered electronically. Until you make this selection, you will receive a paper statement.

Members with Online Banking at both TowneBank and Old Point

Members who previously had accounts at both TowneBank and Old Point and accessed them through two separate online banking systems will continue to log in to each system separately. The accounts from each institution will not be combined automatically, as treasury services and user permissions remain unique to each platform. However, if you'd like to discuss a combined online experience, at your convenience, reach out to Treasury Member Care at 844-638-6724, or talk with your banker.

  • These services will continue to function as they have before. You should not need to make any changes or accept any new terms.

Your mobile application should have automatically updated to Old Point by TowneBank

Please be prepared to log in for the first time with your username and password. Once you log in, you will be able to set up biometric login if that is your preferred method.

  • Your automatic drafts should have continued without interruption. In the months following conversion, we do ask that you review your account activity regularly to ensure that all payments occur as anticipated. We also encourage you to check with your service provider to ensure that the necessary changes have been made.

    We have communicated directly with Old Point account holders who had written agreements in place for recurring monthly transfers to an outside organization. Please talk to your banker or contact Towne Member Care at 844-638-6724 to review alternative options.
  • Online banking users will log in at TowneBank.com on or after February 9, 2026. Select the Login button and click on Old Point Online from the drop-down list of options. You can use the same username and password you used at Old Point.
  • Find the steps you need to help prepare here.
  • Your mobile application should have automatically updated if that feature is enabled on your device; otherwise, you will need to download the newest version available. Visit your favorite app store and search for the app named Old Point by TowneBank.

  • Business online banking users at both Old Point and TowneBank will continue to log in to separate applications to see account activity since services, such as treasury products and user permissions, are unique to each system.  However, if you’d like to discuss a combined online experience, at your convenience, reach out to Treasury Member Care at 844-638-6724, or talk with your banker.
     
  • If you are accustomed to electronic statements, you can make this selection in online banking after logging in on Monday, February 9. Your complete history of electronic statements may not be immediately available. Upon request, your banker can provide any past statements and check images you need.

Your mobile carrier's web access charges may apply. Availability may be affected by your mobile carrier's coverage area.

^Certain devices are eligible to enable fingerprint sign-on. If you store multiple fingerprints on your device, including those of additional persons, those persons will also be able to access your TowneBank Mobile Banking app via fingerprint when fingerprint is enabled. If you have family members who look like you, we recommend you log into mobile banking with your username and password.
