As Chief Strategy Officer, Matt shapes and drives the company’s strategic direction. A member of the Towne family since 2018, his three decades of extensive banking experience, along with his deep appreciation for the TowneBank culture, provide a unique skill set to protect and cultivate the tenets of the company’s current and future strategic plans.
Matt previously served as chief credit officer and chief operating officer at Paragon Bank, which later became a division of TowneBank. Davis has been instrumental in attracting top talent and growing market share in the bank’s emerging markets in his prior role as president of TowneBank North Carolina. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Matt is a Certified Professional and Executive Coach and works with teams across TowneBank to help each person gain self-understanding to maximize their potential.
