TowneBank, with over 60 locations across Virginia and North Carolina, has been named nationally as one of America’s Best Workplaces by Best Companies Group and one of the 2025 Best Banks to Work For by American Banker. TowneBank was the only financial institution in Virginia to be named to the America’s Best Workplaces list and ranked 7th overall among banks with assets over $10 billion on the Best Banks to Work For list. In addition, TowneBank, along with the Towne Family of Companies, was also named a 2026 Best Places to Work in Virginia and a 2026 Great Employer to Work For in North Carolina, further underscoring the company’s commitment to creating an exceptional workplace culture. The America’s Best Workplaces Awards, administered by Best Companies Group, recognize outstanding employers across the United States. The evaluation process includes a comprehensive review of workplace policies, benefits, practices, and demographics, combined with employee survey data, that measures the overall employee experience. Similarly, the Best Companies Group partners with American Banker to identify banks that excel in fostering positive and supportive work environments. The Best Banks to Work For ranking involves a two-step process to be considered in the program’s 13th annual recognition: companies respond to questions about best practices and benefits, and employees complete surveys. The same data and analysis were administered for the Best Places to Work in Virginia and Great Employers to Work For in North Carolina recognition programs.
