The TowneBank Foundation is a nonprofit organization formed by TowneBank in 2001. It has provided charitable grants and donations to well over two hundred non-profit organizations throughout the community. The foundation hosts two major fundraisers each year, the Fall Extravaganza and the annual Charity Golf Tournament. Each year, TowneBank also contributes a percentage of its profits to the Foundation, and covers 100% of the Foundation’s administrative fees. Towne employees volunteer their time to support this worthwhile organization.

Recognizing that we live in a wonderful community with great outreach, the TowneBank Foundation will seek to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve. Through financial contributions and active volunteerism, TowneBank, its family members and friends will deliver quality leadership, compassionate stewardship and heart-felt support to the many charitable and philanthropic organizations in our community.
The Annual Charity Golf Tournament
The annual golf tournament takes place in the spring at Riverfront Golf Club in Suffolk. Net Proceeds are deposited into the TowneBank Foundation for charitable giving in each of the communities TowneBank serves. Thanks to the support of participants and sponsors, the 2015 golf tournament raised $137,000, bringing the cumulative total to more than $1. 6 million!
The Fall Extravaganza
Every October TowneBank hosts the annual Fall Extravaganza to raise funds for the TowneBank Foundation. The extravaganza features food prepared by local restaurants, live music and a huge silent auction. The Fall Extravaganza has raised $2.0 million since its inception in 2004.
