Get information about when you'll receive your new TowneBank debit or credit card.

Debit & Credit Card Changes

Your TowneBank debit card will be mailed to you in the weeks prior to April 14. We are pleased to share that your PIN will remain the same. In some cases, you may need to make some updates to your automatic payments if they are tied to your Farmers Bank Debit Card. Please carefully review the details below and feel free to call your local banker with any questions.


Debit Cards

You may continue using your current Farmers Bank Debit Card through Sunday, April 16. You should be able to make ATM withdrawals and Debit Card purchases as normal; however, over the weekend of April 14-16, balance information at the ATMs may not be available. When you receive your new TowneBank Debit Card, it will feature a new number so it's important that you update any automatic debits tied to your Farmers Debit Card on or after April 17. 

In the two weeks prior to April 14, you should receive your NEW TowneBank Debit Card. Please wait to activate and begin using your new card until Monday, April 17. Instructions for activation will be included with your new card.  Please note that TowneBank Debit Cards renew every five (5) years. 

Credit Cards

TowneBank and Farmers Bank both provide credit card services through Elan Financial ServicesYou will receive a TowneBank-issued card with the same credit card number in a separate mailing in April 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • On April 17, you will be re-directed to log into the TowneBank Mobile Banking app to use the Zelle® service. You can learn more about this service here. 
  • The Farmers Bank Rewards program will not carry over to TowneBank. You can continue to redeem your points for gift cards until May 31, 2023 at FarmersBankVARewards.com
  • Your new Debit Card will carry the MasterCard emblem and can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted, nationally or internationally. If you have travel plans and expect to use your card outside of the U.S., please notify your banker to ensure card access while abroad. Please refer to our fee schedule for information on International Service Fees. 
  • You may continue to use your Farmers Bank Debit Card through Sunday, April 16. You should be able to make ATM withdrawals and Debit Card purchases as normal; however, over the weekend of April 14-16, balance information at the ATMs may not be available.

  • Yes. If you have any automatic debits tied to your Farmers Bank Debit Card (like gym memberships, toll passes, etc.) it's important that you provide your NEW TowneBank Debit Card number to these specific merchants so that your payments will continue as before. 
  • Great news! Your new TowneBank Debit Card will have the same PIN (personal identification number) as the card it is replacing. If you need a PIN reminder for any account, please contact your banker or Towne Member Care at 844-638-6718
