Senior Partners Enjoy the Arts
The Virginia International Tattoo is an annual tradition for the Senior Partners with more than 800 performers from around the world.

Spring brought exciting opportunities for Senior Partner members to enjoy local performances, thanks to our partners at the Virginia Arts Festival. It was a full house in April for the Virginia International Tattoo at the Norfolk Scope followed by a catered lunch. In June, Virginia Arts Festival debuted a new venue for their coffee concert series, Towne University! An audience of 150 patrons enjoyed the stirring talent of pianist Olga Kern, accompanied by chamber players in a number of exciting arrangements.
A Note from Carol Hernandez, Senior Partners Program Coordinator
I have had the honor of serving as the Senior Partner program director since it began in 1999. This role has brought me such fulfillment, most especially through the friendships I have made and the wonderful memories we have created together.
Over the last several years, our TowneBank travel program and tourism trends have seen significant changes, making it increasingly difficult to plan, offer, and fill reservations for Senior Partner trips. Bus travel has its own challenges, and we recently learned that our travel partner will no longer offer their services. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining trips scheduled this year and discontinue future plans for bus travel.

TowneBank Senior Partners were treated to a coffee concert with members of the Virginia Symphony sponsored by the Virginia Arts Festival.
Fortunately, bus trips and overnight travel are not the only ways to enjoy memorable performances, delicious cuisine, and meaningful conversation. We have established new traditions with local outings that have delighted our members. We look forward to growing these opportunities for fellowship.
As we shift to different activities, I’m also sharing my decision to retire after a 60-year career in banking. I look forward to spending more time with family while enjoying the slower pace that a long career deserves. I am confident that I leave you in good hands and that TowneBank will continue to serve its senior members in an exceptional way.
Thank you to Carol, a TowneBank founding employee, for her years of service!
