Celebrating 10 Years and a Growing Presence for TowneBank in Richmond
Brian Skinner, TowneBank president for Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, visited with Mark Halstead, branch manager of our newly added Sliding Hill office in Ashland; president of retail banking Robin Cooke; and Jennifer Church, who joined us from Village Bank as Richmond director of retail banking.
2025 marks a special milestone as the Towne family celebrates 10 years since TowneBank came to Richmond. Under the leadership of regional president Pat Collins, the bank has grown to become the fifth-largest bank in deposit market share in the area. “We are grateful for the many partnerships that have helped to make this possible,” Pat shares. “The greater Richmond community has embraced TowneBank and our style of relationship banking.”
Pat had the honor of building the Richmond team before the doors opened in January 2015. In 2019, after recognizing the booming growth of the gateway region to the south, TowneBank was fortunate to bring Matt Clarke on board as Chesterfield president. Now the fourth most populous county in Virginia, Chesterfield has attracted an exciting mix of economic development projects and global employers.
This year also saw major growth in Richmond when our Village Bank family joined us in June, which expanded the team of commercial, small business, private, and retail bankers available to serve the Capital region. Jay Hendricks now serves as president of our South Central Virginia region, adding seven locations stretching from Powhatan to the west and Ashland to the north.
