Two Family-Run Businesses Provide Important Services in Greenville

When Randy Chadwick (Chad) Dixon sees an opportunity, he’s not afraid to seize it. That can-do spirit has led him to his present position as the owner of two Greenville businesses – ASAP Septic Systems and ASAP Precast Products.
As a young man, Chad began working for a lawn care service, sparking an interest in owning his own landscaping company. In the mid-1990s, “I broke out from working for other people, and I never looked back,” he says.
At ASAP Precast Products, Chad and his team make and mold the concrete that is designed to fit a variety of systems.
Chad eventually expanded his landscaping business to include hardscaping and outdoor lighting, but as he looked around the community, he saw a disconnect between local businesses and what people needed. “Everybody was going into the green work, and there were not many people in wastewater,” he says. So, he moved into the wastewater business, buying a pre-existing company called Stallings and renaming it ASAP Septic Systems Inc.
Chad and his employees cover a wide range of septic tank services from design and installation to maintenance and pumping. They also work with a wide variety of customers, from homeowners to mobile home manufacturers and builders.
The TowneBank Story
As the owner of ASAP Precast Products, Chad has the unusual distinction of making and selling his own supplies, which he then purchases from himself. ASAP Precast Products manufactures concrete drainage systems, including grease traps, parking lot drainage systems, and septic tanks. Chad and his team make and mold their own concrete, which is designed to fit a variety of systems.
ASAP Septic Systems buys the systems it installs from ASAP Precast Products, but ASAP Precast Products also sells to other businesses. The two businesses are kept entirely separate, Chad says. “I’m my own largest customer when it comes to septic tanks,” explaining that he purchases his precast systems from ASAP Precast and, like any other customer, pays the bill. “I don’t even give myself any discounts,” he says.
The team at ASAP Septic Systems offers design and installation as well as maintenance and pumping for homeowners and builders.
When asked how he acquired these skills, ranging from landscaping to making and molding concrete, Chad replies, “Mostly by watching others.” He also took some classes through the National Precast Concrete Association.
Maintaining operations as family businesses is important to Chad. His wife, Laura, works as the bookkeeper, while their son, Sawyer Garrett, and son-in-law, Adam Evans, handle many of the day-to-day operations.
Serving Others. Enriching Lives.
The greatest rewards include the eco-friendly impact, helping meet customer needs, and knowing his precast work is part of the package. “I like helping the environment by putting in the correct system,” Chad says. “It also makes us really happy to see the homeowner happy.”
Another positive part of business ownership is working with TowneBank. Chad has a longstanding business relationship with Wes Barnes, senior vice president and commercial banker, and moved his accounts to TowneBank when Wes joined the bank in 2023. “Wes and his team always provide professional, personal service and great attention to our needs,” Chad says.

“I’ve worked with Chad Dixon for a very long time,” Wes says. “He started as a commercial landscaper, and since that time, I’ve been fortunate enough to watch him grow his own brand. I appreciate that they are a local business that is family-owned and operated.”
