TowneBank celebrated the grand opening of its Greensboro Financial Center, located at 628 Green Valley Road, at an event on October 29, 2025.
An audience of over 300 people enjoyed remarks from Scott Baker, president of TowneBank Triad; Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan; Brent Christensen, President and CEO of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce; and Matt Davis, TowneBank North Carolina president. Christensen applauded the local bank for being “all in on Greensboro” and commented that TowneBank is “helping us write the next chapter in the Greensboro story.”
After opening an initial location in 2019, TowneBank purchased the 106,000-square-foot Green Valley office building in 2024 and began renovations on the 21,000-square-foot first floor space that would become the bank’s local headquarters. The team of local financial professionals operated from a temporary space on-site until full interior and exterior upgrades, including drive-through banking lanes and an ATM, could be completed.
A full-service team of local industry experts includes branch manager Jon Fulton, commercial bankers David Black, Matthew Blake, Lee Burris, Dave Lane, and Erin Miller, and private bankers Michael Diamond and Jawn Hendrix. Treasury and merchant services are offered onsite, and space is available to add offices for the Towne family of services, which includes mortgage, insurance, benefits, and wealth management.
In keeping with the bank’s tradition of giving back, TowneBank presented a charitable donation to The Servant Center, which empowers the homeless and disabled to become independent, contributing members of our community through housing, healthcare, and restorative services.
“TowneBank is committed to serving others and enriching lives in the neighborhoods we serve,” added Scott Baker. “This gift to The Servant Center will have an immediate and longstanding impact on the well-being of individuals living nearby and in the greater Triad area.”
Local leaders helping cut the ribbon included (l. to r.)
