With a distinctive culture of caring and an emphasis on service to others, TowneBank recently received a continued vote of confidence from the people of Charlotte.
TowneBank was voted Gold in the bank category in the 2025 edition of Charlotte’s Best, the second consecutive year to earn this distinction. Also joining the list was TowneBank Mortgage, which earned Bronze in the best home mortgage category. This magazine showcases the effort to discover and celebrate the businesses, people, and places the community loves most—as voted by the people of Charlotte. Established in partnership with the Charlotte Observer, this “best of” program was developed to help the community and support Charlotte-area businesses.
Now celebrating seven years in Charlotte, TowneBank currently has three locations serving the SouthPark, Ballantyne, and Myers Park areas with banking, mortgage, insurance, and wealth management services. Ted Wolfe, president of TowneBank Charlotte, expressed his gratitude for this recognition from Charlotte’s Best. “We are thankful to everyone who voted for us and for the many relationships we are creating here,” he said. “Our local financial professionals, engaged board of directors, and dedicated members combine to support our success and growth across Charlotte. We look forward to sharing the Towne experience with even more people and organizations in our community.”
Charlotte is the second-largest banking center in the country, with major competitors and national banks headquartered in the area. Billy Foster, TowneBank president and CEO, said of this honor: “We feel at home in the Charlotte market, which makes this recognition so significant. This is great news to share not just in Charlotte, but with our Hampton Roads community, where TowneBank began over 26 years ago.”
