Quicken® & Quickbooks® For Online Banking

Old Point systems will transition to TowneBank on February 9, 2026. This will require changes to your Quickbooks or Quicken software to ensure a smooth transition.

The instructions below reference two "Action Dates." Please note these dates and the steps you need to take:

  • Before Friday, February 6 - Perform a final transaction download before 12:00 PM
Perform a data file backup and final transaction download by 12:00 PM on February 6. This will ensure your final download is completed before Old Point's Online Banking system becomes unavailable at 12:00 PM that day.

  • Monday, February 9 - Activate Your Connection to Old Point Online on TowneBank.com
You will complete the deactivation/reactivation of your online banking connection to ensure your current Quicken or Quickbooks accounts are set up with the new connection.

After our go-live on February 9, Quicken and Quickbook's connection services will be temporarily unavailable for up to 5 business days. During this time, you won’t be able to automatically download transactions using:

  • Quicken (Windows/Mac) – Express Web Connect / Quicken Connect
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO) – Aggregation

To keep your records up to date, we recommend manually downloading your transactions as a QFX or QBO file during the outage. This will help you stay on track until services are restored.

Reactivation Instructions

Please carefully review your download instructions after completing the migration instructions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed on the register. If you have any questions, please contact TowneBank Member Care at 844-638-6714
